Recently, Hog Roast Dreemskerry was hired to cater for an 18th birthday celebration in the local area by doting father, Gary. When the client first contacted us a couple of weeks before the event, he knew he wanted a relaxed buffet with enough food to feed the 110 people who had been invited to his daughter Lily’s coming-of-age party. With a few of his daughter’s friends being vegan, vegetarian or gluten-intolerant, Gary wasn’t sure which of our menus would best suit the occasion, but with some help from our catering manager, he soon decided on our southern slow roast feast.
Preparing to serve Gary’s chosen selection of drool-worthy American-style dishes from the menu, Hog Roast Dreemskerry arrived at the client’s home in the early afternoon to get started on the spread. When the guests began to arrive later that evening, they were immediately drawn to the buffet table where the catering crew had already started serving up juicy carvings of BBQ pork butt, cajun spiced whole roast chickens and fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs; along with mac and cheese, fresh salads and loaded fries.
Those following vegetarian and vegan diets were treated to grilled veggie skewers and mushroom and haloumi burgers with flatbreads and tzatziki dip which went down a treat – even among staunch meat-lovers! Most importantly, the birthday girl had a fantastic time celebrating the beginning of her adult years, and Gary couldn’t have been happier with how seamlessly Hog Roast Dreemskerry handled the milestone occasion.
