It’s that time of year again hog roasting in Glen Maye at its peak! We take more orders than ever this time of year and we start the busy season. Weddings and more and more weddings we have on our order book and no prizes for guessing what we were catering for this weekend yes a wedding! But we do love them so much and we love getting dressed for the occasion. Our staff were all pruned and spruced for the occasion and we arrived all organised and ready to show off our skills. A Glen Maye sandwich buffet was order of the day we soon got the meat on the go we laid the tables with salad bowls, fresh crunchy sticks of celery and dips and our mountain of buns we also made some jacket potatoes and dips soon the champagne was flowing and the guests were all gathered the bride and groom looked so handsome! Hog roast hire listened to the speeches which brought a tear to our eyes they were lovely then we quietly made our way back to get ready for the stamped and we were right inundated with a hungry hoard of guests and all eager to know how the meat tasted to delicious and we were eager to explain the facts on hog roasting and all were intrigued when we told them that hog roasting started millions of years ago by the cave men Hog roast hire love to tell the hog roasting stories and once we start we don’t stop we certainly get carried away! Sunday we were out again to a smaller event and it wasn’t a wedding! A small birthday bash for a very good friend of ours we were catering in his back garden and cooking for fifty it didn’t take us long to prepare a lovely Sunday roast all on the hog roast machine, baby boiled potatoes, roasted parsnip and honey glazed peppers, juicy chicken with stuffing and some roast potatoes and green beans just completed the meal we made a lovely chicken gravy and the meal was greatly received. A nice weekend we had and all ready to do it all again!
