With a heatwave on the cards, nobody wants to be stuck in the office instead of enjoying the sunshine or relaxing at home. Hog Roast St Marks was contacted by an office manager to provide catering for her team to allow them to enjoy a treat while they work. She wanted to cheer up her team and to thank them for their hard work, while also allowing them the chance to relax outside and enjoy a delicious meal. For the menu, we were asked to provide our classic hog roast menu, as it is efficient to serve and always goes down a treat!
On the day of the catering, the Hog Roast St Marks team arrived at the building in the morning with plenty of time to prepare for the 1:00pm mealtime. We set up our catering station in the car park under a gazebo, protecting ourselves from the bright sun while we worked. To begin the preparation, we slow roasted the hog, ensuring that it was packed full of natural juices and flavours. For meat-free guests, we also prepared BBQ pulled jackfruit, which is a tasty pork alternative. The mains were served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing and homemade applesauce. To create a varied meal, we also served homemade chips and a selection of tasty salad dishes. Overall, our menu went down a treat and it provided the staff with a well-deserved break from their hard work.
